The TK Society is back in some ridiculous colorways. Making me regret my decision to stop skateboarding. Especially since it was the day that I started skateboarding. Even at ten years old, I didn’t enjoy the bear hugs I was giving the cold concrete. But with these I can finally look like a member of the X-games crew without all the pesky scars. I’m very fragile. The new Terry Kennedy signatures from Supra come in eye-shattering neon pink and lime green and they make me want a cocktail. Which is probably not the safest thing when maneuvering anything on wheels. See, I knew I made the right decision to quit while I was incredibly behind.

Wait, did Kodak buy the Flip? Nope, they just made a better one. I mean, it was about time. You can’t just take on the titans of photo and expect them to not slap you with their metaphorical glove. This camera comes in with better features than the equally priced Flip Ultra HD, like high definition full 1080p format and image stabilization, but also busts out an SD card slot which just twists the knife in the Flip’s side. Even with all the extras it still comes in at the same price as the Flip, at $180 USD. They mean business, son. Don’t worry though, I’m working with Flip on a camera that includes time travel. Keep it under wraps though, I don’t want to get slapped by my future self for spilling the beans. Wait, can I meet my other timed self? Time travel confuses me. Maybe we’ll just make our camera smaller.

Aside from all the senior citizens playing their own game of Grand Theft Auto lately, using pedestrians as bonus point targets, I have to say that I appreciate a classic. PF Flyers has been kicking since the 60’s and now that New Balance has given them a breath of fresh air and their 2009 Astor line is bringing them into the future, I have to cosign. Because I respect my elders; so long as they’re not using me as a parking space. The Astor is set to drop later this month and I can’t wait to spend money I don’t have.

He lives in a pineapple under the sea! And I happen to be super jealous. For one, I happen to think pineapples are delicious. And secondly, I always thought I was the personification of Ariel. Sadly, my dream is dead, as I cannot breathe underwater. My apologies to the lifeguards at Water Country; that was my bad. Anyway, Nooka, my dearest watch brand has given me a bit of solace with yet another ridiculous collabo to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the cartoon. For now, these bad boys can only be picked up at the San Diego Comic Con, which opened Thursday. So if you have a secret obsession with graphic novels I will tell no one. Provided I get a lovely gift which helps me get places on time.

It’s about time for some G.O.O.D music in the form of a new video from their latest artist, Big Sean. I’ve been a fan since I heard the mixtapes. We know I’m a sucker for free music. And get it done, Big Sean. The new video directed by the famous Hype Williams is introducing my new boo to the world. Just don’t tell Cudi. He tends to get jealous.

Reebok is getting a little gully with their new Top Down models featuring the signature art of famed artist, Jean-Michel Basquiat. Sak pase, homie? I’m obsessed with the black and white colorway, and not just because that chicken kind of reminds me of my favorite teacher from first grade. These are ridiculous and one of the many Top Down releases to come in the Fall 2009 collection. Pick mine yours up at colette.

Lacoste is introducing us to their vision of Summer ’09 with their new Dot Fade Pack and I agree wholeheartedly. Lacoste is bringing in ’09 hard, René would be so proud. This line reminds me of chasing after the Ice Cream Truck in hopes that my tremendous efforts would overshadow my lack of cashflow. And yes it did work. I can taste the screwballs now. Wait…that came out wrong. Unless you live near this Ice Cream Truck. Then I probably hit the head on the nail.
The video kind of makes me want to go to a rave. Preferably one sponsored by Good Humor.

Emeric de Meyer is a beastly Paris based illustrator who has worked with the likes of Adidas, Puma, Fila and myself. Oh wait, I’m in his future aspirations…that he is not yet aware of. He’s making such great strides I don’t want to make him nervous. In due time I will be his muse and finally get that giant cartoon self-portrait of myself. I’ve got plans…
