I have a thing for turntables. They make me wanna dance. This $9500 turntable makes me want to cry. Because I can’t afford it. But at least its pretty to look at.

Anyone who knows me will tell you I love Christmas. LOVE it. I love snow, I love pinecones, I love Nat King Cole. I’ve never had the pleasure, but I’m pretty sure I’d even love chestnuts roasting on an open fire. It’s kind of a problem. Which might explain why these are screaming out “CANDY CANES” to me. I tend to get into the Christmas spirit very early. I let the snow prepare for me. So Ian Ginoza, the genius behind Kicks Hawaii has decided that he would like to be my bestie. I know this because he keeps coming up with ridiculous designs and dropping them at stores near me. Aloha Ian.

I’m apparently feeling very one dimensional these days, but I figured I’d tone it down with these earth toned Generic Man kicks. While they don’t produce visions of teletubbies or any other childhood nightmares, the colors soothe my soul. Pick your up at UNDFTD.

Prepare yourselves…the purple is not my favorite color. Don’t get it twisted; I love the purple. By default, they fill me with a schoolgirl glee. But for some reason these kind of remind me of the PBS dinosaur Barney. And think what you will, I’m convinced that friendly dinosaur was a closet wifebeater. He was trying a little to hard to convince us of his happy family. Chris Brown written all over him. Anyway, New Balance has come out swinging with their new line. No pun intended…but I’ll take it. Pick up your pair at Mischief. And don’t tell Barney what I said; Baby Bop said he has a mean streak.

Sometimes I just like to K.I.S.S. Keep it Simple Stupid, you dirty dirty readers! I can’t take you anywhere…Anyway, these are the essence of simplicity and I cosign. Even those with A.D.D need some cornflakes for breakfast once in a while. The white editions dropped last Saturday and the black editions are showing up on their inevitable CP time this Saturday, August 29th. Either way, Nike and longtime Nike collaborator Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design did work on these.

qlocktwo

I have a thing for clocks. Maybe its because I’m always late. It’s not my fault; I’m on CP time. Anyway, the folks at Qlocktwo have provided me oodles of entertainment while I dress frantically for my appointments. And for those of you who can’t tell time, you have found yourself an ally! Those of you who can’t read however have found an enemy. You can’t please everyone. And not to worry if your Dutch Aunt loves her some clocks because these lovely timepieces come in 6 different languages. There’s even an IPhone application for those of you feeling really fanatic. Or those of us who can’t afford the $1261 USD that the real clock costs.

Need I say more? He has a star-studded cast for his newest masterpiece and I can’t wait for this one to drop. Mark your calendars for September 11th, eight years since the original came out! Ok, I have to say it…hes dropped like 3 albums since he retired. So just leave Brett Favre alone.

sneakerlisting

Very rarely do I think this and openly say it. You did me proud facebook. I remember when you launched a young application where you could buy sneakers and add them to your imaginary online collection. Perfect for those less than engaging moments on the job. I feel like a proud mama bird watching you chew your own worm for the first time? Yeah…I don’t know much about avian life. My point is, SneakerListing is a free service allowing you to rummage the marketplace for the perfect pair of regular, limited edition or custom kicks with the rest of your sneaker obsessed brethren. I’m starting a slow clap. It recently launched so there are still some kinks to work out, but I have to say, this almost makes up for facebook letting high school students followed by the whole world on. Almost.
