It has purple. It has silver. It’s a high top dunk. I’m having a little trouble breathing. The newest rivalry between the East and West coast is bringing out the best in…well, the best in the East. I haven’t really paid attention to what the West has to offer yet. What can I say? I choose snow over wildfire. But I will keep an open mind when it comes to the West’s rebuttal. But I’m pretty sure they’ll have to put actual bells and whistles on theirs to top this. Or maybe some LA Gear lights in the heel. Look at me just brainstorming for the enemy.

The new Nike Dunk Autoclaves have been making a splash lately and though I back the previous more toned down editions, I have to cosign on the tangerine color. You can’t go wrong with orange kicks. It’s scientifically impossible. Trust me, I’m a genius. These are in support of the FIFA 2010 World Cup in which the Netherlands will be competing. First Natasha Bedingfield and now this. Keep bringing that hot fiah. While these aren’t set to drop until Summer 2010, feel free to stalk Osneaker for a flicker of hope every now and then.

Maybe it was the lackluster workweek, perhaps it was being accosted by the gregarious homeless man on the way home or maybe it was the Lifetime movie I just suffered through starring Gwyneth Paltrow and her father with a nub for an arm that killed her husband. Yeah, that was probably it. Either way, these shoes are speaking my soul. But before you go on a bloody rampage to please me, these are the only pair around…so think of a really good escape plan. This is the first edition by Revive Customs in a series that embrace his favorite horror directors. And I say violence is acceptable every now and then. Just ask nubby.

The TK Society is back in some ridiculous colorways. Making me regret my decision to stop skateboarding. Especially since it was the day that I started skateboarding. Even at ten years old, I didn’t enjoy the bear hugs I was giving the cold concrete. But with these I can finally look like a member of the X-games crew without all the pesky scars. I’m very fragile. The new Terry Kennedy signatures from Supra come in eye-shattering neon pink and lime green and they make me want a cocktail. Which is probably not the safest thing when maneuvering anything on wheels. See, I knew I made the right decision to quit while I was incredibly behind.

Aside from all the senior citizens playing their own game of Grand Theft Auto lately, using pedestrians as bonus point targets, I have to say that I appreciate a classic. PF Flyers has been kicking since the 60’s and now that New Balance has given them a breath of fresh air and their 2009 Astor line is bringing them into the future, I have to cosign. Because I respect my elders; so long as they’re not using me as a parking space. The Astor is set to drop later this month and I can’t wait to spend money I don’t have.

Reebok is getting a little gully with their new Top Down models featuring the signature art of famed artist, Jean-Michel Basquiat. Sak pase, homie? I’m obsessed with the black and white colorway, and not just because that chicken kind of reminds me of my favorite teacher from first grade. These are ridiculous and one of the many Top Down releases to come in the Fall 2009 collection. Pick mine yours up at colette.

Clearly I am feeling somewhat artistic these days and since no sneaker company will call me with regards to my stick figure collabo, I’ll have to exercise my visions through other venues. Like the new collaboration between Reebok and fashion designer, Rolland Berry. Love it. Any shoe that I can stare at for more than 2 minutes straight has my mark. That’s saying a lot. Because I’m about 90% sure I have A.D.D. Also, I’m all about the “Seduction of the Innocent.” And I mean that in the most creepy way possible.

I know, I know, another Nike High-top…It’s not my fault that Nike keeps spitting that hot fiah like Dylan from Making the Band. And I’m a sucker for gingham print. C’mon, look at it! Tell me you don’t want to go to the park and have a pb & j and some lemonade with the crew. Maybe a fluffanutter if you’re feeling festive. Just feels like summer. And since Boston is currently live on the set of The Perfect Storm, I will allow myself to indulge.
