It’s finally hear and I’m like a kid in a candy store!! Get it? KID. Ok, that was terrible but my excitement is clouding my humor. Kid Cudi has been dropping mixtapes like he lives on Canal Street and I finally get to purchase some polished tracks. And yes, I actually bought this and did not rely on Zshare for my fix. That’s saying something. And it was worth every penny. All 11,99 of them. Not that I’m counting. I suggest you buy this immediately and start singing “Sky Might Fall” on your way home from work. That won’t worry your fellow train passengers in the least. But according to Kid Cudi, this is just the first stance in a “Lord of the Rings” like trilogy. The second album, “Man on the Moon: The Ghost in the Machine” is already in the works and I would like to be greedy and say let’s hear it. I’m not a fan of suspense.

I have a thing for turntables. They make me wanna dance. This $9500 turntable makes me want to cry. Because I can’t afford it. But at least its pretty to look at.

I have really good news. Maxwell is still alive! Who knew!? I’m so excited! After an 8 year sabbatical, Maxwell has toned down the fro and come back to grace us with some more soulful music. It’s about time.

It’s about time for some G.O.O.D music in the form of a new video from their latest artist, Big Sean. I’ve been a fan since I heard the mixtapes. We know I’m a sucker for free music. And get it done, Big Sean. The new video directed by the famous Hype Williams is introducing my new boo to the world. Just don’t tell Cudi. He tends to get jealous.

In a way that makes me trample thousands of screaming high-school students to be front row of the moshpit at his new “Great Hangover Tour”. True Story. I had to teach them to respect their elders. And like the groupie masses (though I consider myself a couple desperation levels below Superhead), I have to cosign his new video. You have to respect someone headlining a sold-out tour without dropping an album yet. Get it.

Say what you will about Michael’s personal life, the man was the King of Pop and an absolute genius. And as far as I’m concerned the King of fresh too. He was the definition of style. I grew up listening to everything he created, including the multitudes of classics made from just sampling his music. His music is timeless. Billie Jean? PYT? THRILLER? He is a legend and will be remembered. I mean, just peep his house right now. It’s like they’re handing out free cheese! And I don’t mean to make light of his death, but I think everyone should be celebrating his life. I’m gonna dance all day long! Because I feel like that’s what he would have wanted. Smells like chestnuts roasting and Uncle Craig knocked under the tree on account of too much eggnog. Unless you’re that woman being forced to pay $80,000 per song after losing her copyright case…again; Santa gave her a lump of coal in her stocking. And then he robbed her. And no, I don’t consider mixtapes stealing because you can’t buy them anywhere. So unless you want me to start sending blank checks to every artist, cool it RIAA! I’m just trying to get my head bob on. Maybe get a little shoulder bounce going, a Cha Cha slide if the mood arises. Actually, I hope that dance dies a Lifetime Network caliber death. And if you disagree with me then I apologize for offending. Just let me know what the hell I should be doing during “REVERSE!” because I’m pretty sure no one knows.

“Back To The Feature” has been keeping my iPod very chipper all day and it would only be fair for me to share the wealth. I can cross holiday volunteerism off my “to-do” list. Damn right this counts. No need to thank me for my philanthropy…just pay it forward. Adopt a highway or something. Pavement needs love too.
